On passe à un maiden pour trois ans, sur 1300m. C’est vraiment très ouvert et le niveau est assez élevé avant coup. Notre préférence ira tout de même nettement vers la pouliche de Fabrice Chappet, Complication, qui a laissé une très belle impression lors de ses premiers pas, à Chantilly, luttant quasiment toute la ligne droite avec un élément très estimé de l’écurie Botti. Ce jour-là, elle devançait nettement la troisième. Engagée dans la Poule d’Essai, elle ne devrait pas tarder à ouvrir son palmarès.
Ensuite, tout est possible. En priorité, on citera Abfab, plus revue depuis ses débuts sur cette piste l’été dernier. Les Rouget ne sont pas souvent affûtés pour leurs rentrées mais ses premiers pas étaient vraiment intéressants. C’est une belle possibilité. Attention également à Drogo, qui a joué de malchance lors de sa première apparition en France, le jour où il neigeait beaucoup sur Chantilly. Sans ça, le poulain aurait sans doute terminé sur le podium. Associé à Christophe Soumillon cette fois, il faut le retenir très haut. Deuxième de cette même course, Mana Maha traçait une prometteuse fin de course. On en attendait mieux la dernière fois mais, à sa décharge, elle a dû progresser nez au vent pendant la majeure partie de la course. Avec un meilleur parcours cette fois, on pourrait assister à une belle performance de sa part. Bon finisseur, Glory Of Rome manque certainement de maturité pour gagner dans un tel lot, mais il n’est pas dénué de moyens, comme Rapido Presto, plus expérimenté mais absent depuis le mois d’octobre et inédit sur le sable.
